Mrs. Gurney, with the GLW Children's Council, has been in the Burwell Elementary grades 2-6 teaching the "Too Good For Drugs" Program during Miss T.'s guidance time. Mrs. Gurney and Miss T. co-teach many of the lessons together. The "Too Good For Drugs" Program helps students create attainable goals, a supportive friend circle, make good choices, understand the effects of drugs on the body system, and how all of these work together to help students reach their short and long-term goals. Thank you to Mrs. Gurney and GLW for spending 10-14 weeks with the students of BES to help them learn a healthy lifestyle.
