P.E.O Chapter CJ Awards 2025 Scholarships
The Burwell P.E.O. Chapter CJ is pleased to award Jessica Dawe the Grace V. Wagner Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a Burwell Jr.-Sr. High School young lady planning to attend a 4-year College or University. Seniors Calah Archibeque and Kaitlyn Simpson were each awarded a $500 scholarship. Congratulations to these young ladies!
Burwell Art Show 2025
Burwell Public Schools hosted a 7-12th art show on Wednesday, April 9th. Four schools, other than Burwell, attended the art show including: Fullerton, Palmer, Sandhills, and West Holt. Junior high and high school artwork was hung up and displayed before 10 a.m. in fourteen separate categories organized by mediums. Burwell elementary artwork and clay projects were displayed and judged, as well. At least one piece of artwork was displayed . . .
BHS Student Selected for Junior Law Cadet Program
Hayes Plugge, a junior at Burwell High School, has been chosen to participate in the prestigious Junior Law Cadet Program, sponsored by the American Legion Department of Nebraska and Burwell Post 298. This unique program offers high school juniors the opportunity to explore the field of law enforcement through hands-on training and educational experiences.
