Big opportunities start right here at Burwell Jr. Sr. High School! On Monday, November 2nd, Amber Marcellus from Northeast Community College (NECC) visited BHS to help students register for Spring 2027 NECC Dual Credit Classes. Amber, an NECC Navigator who works directly with high schools and high school students, partnered with school counselor Miss Tetschner to help students take the next step toward their future.
“There are a lot of advantages to taking dual college credit while in high school,” said Miss Tetschner. “We appreciate that students can get a jump start on their college degrees with free tuition offered by NECC and books paid for by BHS.”
For BHS students, dual credit means getting a head start on college, earning credits before graduation, and saving money along the way! These opportunities allow students to make progress toward their future goals while still in high school. Thank you to NECC for helping make these opportunities possible for our students!
