The featured artists for this week is Burwell Jr. Sr. High Art Club. Members of the art club were asked to design a mural to go on the south side of the concession stand by the football field. A combination of ideas formed by Calah Archibeque, Kalli Joy, and Shaylee Hulinsky was the chosen design. This design sports a longhorn silhouette head with two different colors of purple waves behind it. With the help from the freshman students in Art 1, Mrs. Hitchcock and her students drew out the ideas, so it would be ready to paint. On Saturday morning, October 12th, four art club students ( Katelynn Ohlman, Kelli Brownell, Shaylee Hulinsky and Lena Spencer) painted the “Burwell Longhorns” mural. The goal of the Burwell Jr. Sr. High Art Club is to create art that benefits the community.
