BPS Students Help Celebrate National Assisted Living Week

The students of Burwell Public Schools recently helped Community Memorial Health Center celebrate "National Assisted Living Week" and their awesome residents with some special activities.
Mrs. Smith and the 8th graders celebrated National Assisted Living Week by accompanying CMHC residents and staff members while they went fishing at the Burwell City Park. The National Assisted Living theme is "Inspiring Generations" and this project certainly encouraged two generations to come together!
Later, the Burwell Longhorn 4th grade class, with the help of Methodist Church volunteers, visited CMHC to spend time with residents and participate in an exciting and fun BINGO hour.
These special moments create lifelong memories for students as well as residents and BPS hopes to continue building these great relationships.
