Burwell Public Schools is excited to announce that they have partnered with Hudl, a nationally renowned, Nebraska-based company that provides tools for coaches and athletes to review game footage as well as live streaming services for fans. Hudl offers many benefits, including the ability to seamlessly sync with coaching stats and player videos.
The ability to livestream activities remains a priority for Burwell Public Schools and Hudl will provide many benefits in that area as well, including hands-free film with a mounted Focus camera in both the high school gym and at the football field. The focus camera integrates with the school schedule to automatically record and stream activities. Hudl also now allows BHS the opportunity to provide broadcast journalism opportunities for students with their addition of Production Truck software. This will allow Burwell Public Schools to provide livestream events from other locations, as they have done in the past. Elementary concerts and events, as well as school activities in other rooms will continue to be streamed.
All games, home or away, that are played at facilities with permanently mounted Focus cameras will automatically be uploaded to coach libraries and have the ability to be livestreamed.
All of these features are made possible with the support of local sponsors who work with the BHS Broadcast Journalism/Social Media class. These sponsors will continue to be featured on livestream events and are a crucial part of the school’s programming. Sponsors include: KC Creations Photography, First Interstate Bank-Burwell, Burwell Pharmacy, Spelts Lumber & Hardware, Trotters Whoa & Go/Trotter Feeds, Jeffres Sand & Gravel/Jeffres Trucking, and Burwell Youth Boosters.
