Classroom Practices
Here are some simple rules to help keep our learning atmosphere focused and pleasant:
-
Listen and follow directions;
-
Keep your hands, feet, and criticism to yourself;
-
Raise your hand and wait for permission when we are doing whole class or independent work;
-
Treat each other and school property respectfully. This includes us, fellow staff members, volunteers, classmates, schoolmates, and the spaces and supplies we share.
These are the progressive consequences for most infractions:
- Warning--eye contact, Warning card, gentle touch on the shoulder, etc.
-
Time-out--the student will politely be asked to move to an area away from students and instruction; instruction time will need to be made-up after school.
-
Behavior Form--the student will be asked to complete a behavior form and notify parents. I would like the form to be signed by a parent and returned the next school day.
